The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi by Shannon A. Chakraborty (audiobook)
i loved this bookkkkkk. i am always in search of fantasy books that arent stuck to the english folklore (love it, just want more diverse fantasy).
the main character is a middled aged mother who gets sucked back into her previous career as a pirate and i love her so much. the way the naration is framed is delightful, there is very well done trans representation, and to my knowlage it is extreemly well researched.
it is a very enjoyable read that i would recomend to anyone who loves fantasy.
